Hello! 

I am Emma, a (currently) 28 year old pencil artist based in mid - Cornwall, England. I am generally not-so-great at anything technological, preferring the physical media of pencil and paper, but the modern world requires us all to dip out toes into the digital world in one way or another. 

I am embarking on a business re-vamp where I am trying to really get my business streamlined and get it running as smoothly as possible. I have been doing this professionally since 2021, and I feel that things need a shake-up!

Since 2021 it has been a strange rollercoaster of business highs and lows - I am currently doing this part time and at times, this is a little bit daunting. But I keep coming back purely because I love drawing, and that is what is at the heart of it. I have made a lot of great friends, worked with some great clients and stockists, and continue to learn more and more about my practice. 

As of 2025, the business of Emma H Oakley Art is going to take the direction of more pet portrait based work, due to the ever changing nature of the world of Brexit, EU rules and tariffs. I will still draw motorsport occasionally, but as most of my clients were EU based and I can no longer ship there, I need to diversify and what better way of doing it than another of my interests, animals! I will still accept motorsport commissions, of course, so if you’d like one, please do get in touch. 

I am still selling on Etsy, and will be updating products regularly, as well as starting up a Ko-Fi page where you can book commissions, purchase items or ‘buy me a pencil’ which is basically a ‘tip’ or ‘donation’ of a small amount if you would like to support my work if you cannot purchase any other physical media. 

As for local sales, I am still selling in Cofro gallery in Mevagissey, and have a partnership with Marmadukes of Mevagissey offering discounts on pet portraits for customers. If you would like to stock some of my work, prints, cards etc, then please do get in touch as I would love to expand UK stockists!
